A Brief History
The legacy of this paper dates back to the 2nd century. It was even transmitted to Japan by the monk Damjing in the 6th century, becoming the root of what is now known as Washi. During the Goryeo Dynasty, the quality of Korean paper was so exquisite that it was coveted even by the Chinese Imperial Court.
